The KLPGA was established in 1978 when our association separated from the KPGA (Korea Professional Golfers¡¯ Association) and was officially named the ¡°KLPGA.¡±

We are very proud of the 30-year of history of the KLPGA. Our members are primarily professional tour members and teaching members. In addition, the KLPGA has produced many great professional golfers, such as Se-Ri Pak, Grace Park, and Shi-Hyun Ahn. The KLPGA continues to manage various golf tours and promote Korean women¡¯s golf to the world through the KLPGA tour, Dream tour, Jump tour, and Senior tour. The following list shows the numbers of class A members since 1998.

The KLPGA tour is the major tour for Class A members. KLPGA players active in the LPGA include Se-Ri Pak, Mi-Hyun Kim, Hee-Won Han. Many of these players developed their skills through the KLPGA tour and they have played in two or more KLPGA tours as an invitational player. The following list shows the numbers of tournaments since 1996.

The ¡°Dream Tour¡± began in 2000 as a way to raise the quality of play and help develop younger KLPGA players. Participation is open to both Class A and Class B members through a qualifying tournament. If Class B members finish in the Top-3 on the total money list, they will be qualified as Class A members and have the right to full KLPGA tour status in the following year(This is the same Class A members as well). In addition, if Class B members play in all eight tournaments and finish an average of 74 or better, they will qualify as a Class A members. The following list shows the numbers of tournaments since 2000.

This year, KANGSAN Construction will continue to support the Senior Tour with [12billion won] as total prize money. This tour is open to all Class A and B members who are 42 years of age or older, in case of amateur, who is 40 years of age or older.
